Painted on February 27, 2025 on the day after the world learned of the passing of Gene Hackman at the age of 95. In a career that spanned over four decades, he received two Academy Awards, two British Academy Film Awards, and four Golden Globe Awards. This tribute portrait was from his role as Little Bill Daggett in Unforgiven (1992) largely filmed in southern Alberta.
